Qualifications -

I feel I will be a successful City of Casselberry Commissioner due to the combination of my business background, education, volunteer and government experience. 

 

Running two successful businesses totaling 32 employees and being involved in the construction and development industry for 20 years has provided me the experience and expertise in areas such as financial management and reporting, budgeting, cash flow projections, banking, personnel management, human resources, insurance, workers compensation, negotiating and executing multi -year multi- million dollar contracts, sales and marketing, strategic planning, and adhering to numerous local, state, and federal governing regulations and requirements.  

I have managed mechanical construction and development projects in such areas as Government (City of Sunrise Utilities Administration Building, Broward County Morgue, etc.), Shopping Complexes (Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk, Beach Place – Fort Lauderdale Beach, etc.), Multi- tenant Complexes (Yacht Club of Portofino – Miami Beach, Brickell 11 – Miami, etc.),and  Hotels (Surfcomber – Miami Beach, Marriott World Center – Orlando, etc.)  As such I understand the complexities and challenges of bringing new development to successful completion. 

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Florida in Finance and also fulfilled the course requirements for Real Estate. This education exposed me to such areas as Corporate and Government Finance, Equity and Bond Markets, Business Law, Contract Law, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate Development, Statistics, Management, Marketing, etc. 

 

 I am a founding member of Friends of Lake Kathryn and joined the volunteer board of Casselberry Lakes Management Advisory Board in January 2009. I joined the Planning and Zoning Commission in June 2010 and was elected Chair in February 2012. I was reelected Chair in February 2013. I currently serve on the Casselberry Community Task Force and served on the Casselberry Housing Task Force to completion in December 2012. I also currently serve on the Seminole County School Board Vocational Committee.
